Panasonic, Sony VHS-C Camcorders FAQ's
Did you know...
1. What is VHS-C?
VHS-C is a format that allows you to record directly onto a VHS-C tape, which you can easily play back in your VCR. VHS-C is a compact form of VHS. Smaller in cassette size, the VHS-C format uses an optional VHS PlayPak adaptor to play VHS-C tapes in your VCR.
2. Can I connect my VHS-C Palmcorder® Camcorder to my computer? No. Since VHS-C Palmcorder® Camcorders feature only analog outputs, it is not possible to connect the camcorder directly to a PC unless your computer video card is equipped with analog inputs. The only way to transfer images from the camcorder to a PC is by using an external device capable of analog/digital signal conversion.
4. When I placed my VHS-C tape into the VHS PlayPak\adaptor and then placed it in my VCR, why is the VCR ejecting the tape? The VHS PlayPak adaptor uses 1 AA battery. When you place your VHS-C tape into the adaptor and close the cover, you will hear the motor running and the red piece on the adapter will move inside. Check the placement of the battery and make sure the clear shrink-wrap has been removed from the battery.
5. Can I check my recordings on the spot?
Yes. It's easy. Our VHS-C Palmcorder® Camcorders are equipped with 2.5" diagonal color LCD monitors that rotate 270°, And with the built-in speaker, you can view and listen to your finished recordings right on location.
