DVD / CD Media
The "R" in DVD-R or DVD+R stands for recordable or "write once." The –R and +R designations represent different and incompatible methods of recording data; however, both share readability in DVD ROM drives or DVD video players. DVD-R is the next generation of CD-R and can be thought of as a larger capacity CD-R. The DVD+R was developed after DVD-R as a competing format. DVD-R/DVD+R’s can be single or double sided and are available in the same physical sizes as CD-R’s.
