Q. What are the differences between Avid Xpress Pro HD and Avid Xpress Pro?
A. Avid Xpress Pro HD has the same capabilities as Avid Xpress Pro plus HD support as well as new features like true real-time multicam, DVCPRO 50 and DVCPRO HD support, 10-bit SD and HD support, the new AVX2 effects architecture and more. Avid Xpress Pro also supports Mac OS X, while Avid Xpress Pro HD is currently Windows XP only. Avid Xpress Pro HD for Mac OS X Tiger is planned for later in 2005.

A. Yes! Avid Xpress Pro software handles offline resolutions in addition to DV. Add Avid Mojo hardware to handle any analog footage, including component BetaSP, and scale to uncompressed standard definition video editing with full 4:2:2 color in real time.

A. The revolutionary Avid Mojo is the portable, powerful Digital Nonlinear Accelerator that delivers the unprecedented power of true real-time effects, real-time DV input and output and professional analog-to-DV media conversion.
Compact enough to take on location yet powerful enough to serve as the core of a video-editing suite, Avid Mojo provides a full complement of real-time DV and analog input and output ports all wrapped in a rugged anodized aluminum case. Connected via a single FireWire cable to qualified Mac or PC systems, it is the first and only real-time video solution for notebook computers that scales from DV25 to uncompressed SD video.
Adding Avid Mojo hardware to Avid Xpress Pro software also provides real-time uncompressed graphics and titles over DV25 source material.
Q. How does Avid Mojo work?
A. Avid Mojo connects to your computer with a simple FireWire connection to deliver gen-locked analog and digital video I/O, complete with real-time digital cut to DV tape. This means that effects and color corrections that may have required a time-consuming render when going back out to tape are now real-time through both the analog (even optional Component 4:2:2) and FireWire outputs.
